5 Inch Class 20
This popular class of locomotives was introduced by English Electric in 1957, under the new modernisation scheme. The initial batch of twenty engines were so successful that in total 228 engines of this type were built, with English Electric sub contracting much of the mechanical side to Vulcan foundry and Robert Stephenson & Hawthorn.
Gauge: 5', Length: 1240mm, Width 240mm, Height 340mm, Scale: 27mm to ft (1 1/16' to a ft) Motors: 8 at 60 watt, Electronic control: 12 or 24volt. Gear drive, Brake: Electro magnetic, Weight 26kg, Max speed: 6mph, Min Radius: 10 ft, Max load: 8 adults.
Our model is a working replica of the full size in 5' gauge, it has two 12 volt batteries under the bonnet feeding eight axle hung motors through an electronic control system with remote hand set. Motors drive the wheels direct through gearing, axles are fitted with bronze axle boxes. The body is a fine scale GRP moulding incorporating all the detail work to cab, roof and bonnet.
The bonnet and cab fronts incorporate light mouldings that can be finished to original style or converted for route indicator boxes etc A super detail kit is also available.
The Class 20 is available as an unpainted kit, painted kit or ready to run model, with a lead time dependent on which form it is supplied in.
When selected, super detail will either be included as the corresponding kit in an unpainted or painted kit build, or is fitted by the factory in a ready to run model.

Goods are sent by the cheapest method appropriate to the size of the package anywhere in the world. This will generally be (UK post) post or carriers standard overnight service. (Europe and the rest of the world) post or carriers standard 7day service. Items in excess of 600mm (2ft) all sheet material and castings will incur additional packing, which must be allowed for. We cannot accept liability for loss or damage unless notified immediately and confirmed in writing within 7 working days of the date of dispatch.
Delivery cost will be calculated by weight, by that we mean you only pay for the weight of the item you buy, Prices will be to door no matter what part of the world you are in, Prices will be shown in the currency you set your system to ie £GBP, $USD, €EURO.

CANCELLATIONS & RETURNS
The cancellation of any order or service within 7 working days will not incur a penalty. This period runs from the day the contract is concluded for services & the day after the day of delivery for goods. After this all order & services will be subject to a 20% administration charge. Defective items will be replaced free of charge; any other item returned to us will incur a restocking charge of 20%. We do not supply books on approval.
