5 Inch Gauge Polly VI
An ever-popular name in the model engineering circles, the Polly locomotive was originally designed and manufactured by JGS Clarke in 1987. In 1999 Andy Clarke bought the Polly range of locomotives with the intention of resurrecting this beautiful range.
This is a nice example of the Polly VI a 5" Gauge 2-6-0 Tender Locomotive. Everything seems in good standing, it has been run on air (You can watch this in the youtube video attached) and displays good motion in both directions.
Although in nice mechanical condition the aesthetics could certainly do with looking at. The paint job is rough, and it would most certainly benefit from a little TLC. A new coat of paint and this will be a fine loco, very eye-catching. Perfect for someone who wishes to see out the season with a running model and take on a winter project.
