5 Inch Gauge 08 Diesel

Very interesting design and beautifully put together model, petrol engine, running thought a centrifugal clutch to a mechanical gearbox, chain tensioners, greasing points the builder thought of everything. Built with the driver in mind so there is easy access to all controls. The Engine says Suffolk Iron foundry but looks to have had the casing heavily modified to fit the locomotive, all steel chassis and aluminium body panels come off individually to give great access to the mechanics. Very highly detailed model complete with carrying platform.

There are three gears, low, medium and high in both forward and reverse, plus a transmission brake on the centrifugal clutch enabling you to slow down and engage the gears, whether you can do this is motion I’m unsure, they are straight cut gears so i guess it might take a little practice but it can't be harder than double declutching an Austin 12!!.
